Iodine from Clarkson NOT for use IN or ON the body.

I spoke with a gentleman at Ricca Chemical(the supplier to Clarkson) today and was informed that the Iodine they sell DOES meet Lugol's specs, it also fit's Weigert's specs, and it is also USP rated, HOWEVER, this Iodine is NOT for use in or on the body. This Iodine is for lab use only. Apparently there is a LOT that we do NOT know about grading and specs. He was kind enough to inform me of this in between tornado sirens, he said that he would e-mail me but hasn't yet.

If anyone cares to delve into the infinite variations there seem to be in rating this stuff, go for it:) "not for use in and on the body" is all I need to hear.

Hopefully he'll remember to e-mail me tomorrow, if not, ah well...
