Apxr, you make some very interesting comments throughout. Speculative on my part, but the "something" would be a micro-entity of some sort that needs feeding. This could be fungi or what not. The "something" or entities would responsible for manipulating the grey matter (same composite matter in the brain) in the colon lining to send a signal to the brain for consumption. Am I on track?
