Quite true. It DOESN'T, or at least, it shouldn't.
Congratulations on your success. Please keep in mind that calories come from carbohydrates too.

I agree 100% if the above argument means "...the persistence of obesity and overweight ...has to do with what and what combinations you eat".

In turn, the underlying cause of the condition of obesity in the individual may be due to something else.
