Yup. It's a simple formula; take in more than what the body needs to sustain it, you gain weight. Somewhere out there there is a guru-type person (one of the good ones ;) who was quoted (and I paraphrase) "there is only one reason to eat - to provide the body with nutrition. Eating for any other purpose violates this fundamental". Who can argue with that? For starters, me and my family raised to believe in "live to eat, not eat to live" would argue with that :(
