if you are worried about expense, why not culture some of it? just put some into a glass of good milk, then leave that in a warm place, but not hot, for 24 to 36 hours or so. the exact time would be an experiment. if they are live cultures they will activate and multiply. add spoonful of black strap molasses to the milk, because the bacteris love to feed on the sugar and minerals in that. you could extend one serving by many times if you do this. you will get many many times the probiotic for the same price. plus you will have fun and learn about the life cycle of bacteria.
