Re: colonscopies and no plaque

the human intestinal tract is very long. the small intestine alone is about 22 FEET long. the large intestine is around 5 feet long. does a gastroenterologist actually get his scope all the way up in there? of course not. that kind of invasive procedure would probably kill a human. a colonoscopy might reach a couple feet into the colon, maximum. that leaves over 25 feet of intestinal tract to gather, in its folds and curves, all sort of gross things. this is why you'd never see anything substantial in a colonoscopy or endoscopy. these cameras just can't go in far enough to get a good view of everything.

i've done a few bowel cleanses, and i always feel better, with a flatter stomach, less gas, and larger, easier to pass, and more uniform color and odor bowel movements afterward. i also passed "mucoid plaque" one time when i ate a lot of oranges. i presume the fiber in them loosened up something that was stuck to the sides of my intestines. oranges don't normally cause this color/odor/shape BM, so obviously there was something in my body that the oranges helped expel.

think about how long a booger can hang out in your nose, and that's reachable! our intestinal tract is not all pink and shiny like the images you see. most of it may be like that in a healthy person, but guaranteed there are places where this junk collects and adheres to the walls of the tract.

i was a sceptic, but these days i'm a firm believer. plaque exists, and cleanses help to get it out.
