Re: Enema or Patience?
What amazing responses - I'm actually touched. Seriously. Thanks so much. Since there seems to be an excess of knowledge on this board, please allow me to pick your brains some more...
Okay, so it seems that the consensus is that I need to beef up my intestinal flora. That sounds reasonable - I have never taken probiotics on a regular basis (because I've never found they do anything for me, but I probably give up way too soon) and enzymes haven't seemed to make a noticeable difference either. My body is extremely sensitive to meds and supplements, so if something is working, I KNOW it very quickly. If something isn't haven't an effect, I lose interest in it and "forget" to take it. So that's why I've never stayed on any probiotic - I just don't notice any improvement.
I have also done many rounds of bowel cleansing and my diet is rather limited, so I have no doubt that I'm rather "dead" inside and desperately in need of nutrients & good "germs". Wow - where does one start? I've been on this journey for years already and am always finding something new.
I have some Bio-K pills that I will start taking again. Also, will go get some organic sauerkraut. I've heard turmeric is helpful here as well as ACV. I don't want to overdo it, which tends to be my nature. Oh, also, I will start exercising again - I stop and start and stop and start and I do think it helps keep everything running smoothly.
Maybe I'll try putting some of my cheaper probiotics in my enema water and "shooting up" that way....
How am I doing so far?
