Re: Enema or Patience?

Hi Jenra,

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is not a disease. It is an indication of a disorder, which can be many things.

My suggestion is to cut down the amount of insoluble fiber and see if you can alleviate the fullness you feel.

Another idea is this. In the morning after your normal bowel movement, take a small cool enema of either plain water or saline solution to move any residue from your bowels. This may help strengthen your peristalsis. Then try not taking the “after-eating” enema. See how it goes.

I see nothing wrong with what your doing except it may cause a dependance on enemas. I would not worry about this dependance unless you keep taking daily enemas over say 2 months. After all, there are many people who have taken daily enemas most of their lives with no ill effects.

Also try eating less at each meal but eat more often smaller meals. I have done this and have had excellent results but it does take getting used to it.

I wish you a healthy and happy life.

Propaul
