God doesnt need religion anymore-did he/she ever need it?

There's a big difference between spirituality and dogma. Dogma is all those little "rules" that each organized religion has.

But I guess there once was a time where organized religion was useful. Many people cannot think for themselves. So they feel that if they simply follow the "rules" set out by the church, they'll be golden.

In the end, it ain't that difficult ! Love one another. Be good to one another. Value your own worth as much as you value others' worth.
