I didn't ever intend to insult you! I think I misunderstood you, because I thought you were questioning why you got it in the first place...I didn't realize you had that all figured out.

My main point is that BV is/can be sexually transmitted - I fully understand that non-sexually active people can get BV for other reasons. But if you have BV and are having sex with your husband - you both need to be treated until the BV is cured. Otherwise you will end up reinfecting each other. Some people don't recognize that BV can be sexually transmitted.

I understand that hubby has done 'rounds with Flagyl - but it won't help if you are still suffering from BV...

So if you treat yourself, also treat your husband - he will need to take something internally....
