Re: Severe, chronic, cystic acne

Wow, where do I start. You have to be careful with certain herbs b/c some can have plant estrogen in them, this will further agravate your Acne as it could badly effect your hormone levels. You said that you were tested to see if your hormones were unbalanced and everything came out fine. I don't trust those tests so much. You cannot have Acne if your hormones are balanced. There is an Acne equation and you must have 3 things in order to have acne.

1. Hormone imbalance
2. Toxic overload (build up)
3. Genetic tendencies - this means you genetically have sensitive oil glands to androgen levels.

Your body is probably so clogged, especially your liver, that it has stopped processing your hormones.

There is just so much information for me to explain to you. I have been researching acne treatments for a long time. I suffer from acne myself and have for about 1 1/2 years. Nowhere near your 9 years, granted. I tried everything possible for the first year. I finally found a holistic book online call Acne No More that helped me so much. It has literally turned around the way I thought about acne. If you want to take a look you can get it at acnenomore.com. It's about $40, just to warn you. But it was honestly the best $40 I spent since the first time I broke out. I refused to take any Antibiotics or accutane and decided to go the holistical way instead. The book will outline a full complete 2 month detox to help you get rid of the toxins, clean and rebalance your organs as well as your hormones. It gives you oodles of information on everything imaginable. The skin care section is fantastic and everything is all natural. I am on the two month detox right now and will be finishing up my 3rd week in just a few days. One of the best things about the book is that you can email the author for questions any time you want. We have chatted over email for the last 6 months. I didn't start the detox right away b/c it is hard and takes disciple. Since your diet is already mainly raw it shouldn't be such a switch for you. Giving up the foods I love has been very hard for me. I tried so many things before starting the detox. I did a 3 month Dr. Natura colon/ parasite cleanse. This improved my skin like 50% but not completely. I also incorporated all the vitamins, skin care and some of the diet and exercise suggestions. I have finally took the plunge and my face it doing better. I still have 6 weeks to go. The book gives you the specific order that you need to detox everything and gives you vitamins and supplements to help you body to heal. It incorporates everything...diet, vitamins/supplements, exercise, sleep, stress, skin care, cleanses, makeup and so much other information.

I really hope you decide to take a look at this book before taking accutane. Accutane will only damage your body more by breaking down your organs. Your acne will get worse and if it does get better it will only be for a matter of time and after that it will most likely be worse then ever. If you don't want to use the Acne No More book try to find another holistic book that you like to detox your body. There have been some other suggestions here on this forum or you can post for suggestions.

Good luck and many blessings.

Melissa
