Re: Severe, chronic, cystic acne
I would recommend having a
food sensitivity test, I was eating a very
healthy Diet but was still getting big cysts on my chin. I went for a kinesiology food test and was told of foods that my body did not like such as citrus fruits, onions, dairy, all nuts and seeds! I think it helped a lot as my skin was still not perfect but I got tiny spots instead of big cysts. I also stopped using harsh things on my face, I started washing with just water for a long while. I think cleansing is the key to clearing acne, but testing for
food sensitivities would help as your liver would then be able to work better too.
At the moment since flushing my skin has flared up again, I am now concentrating on my bowels before I flush again. I may have another
food sensitivity test to see if anything has changed as it can.
Also a few things I have added to my diet is apple cider vinegar daily, coconut oil, and probiotics.
I use bicarbonate of soda as a face wash, and I've heard hydrogen peroxide is very good for acne. I also use apple cider vinegar on spots to dry them out. This combination is good for balancing the ph of the skin.
Most important thing for healing though is your mind, I know it can be very hard to stay positive when you feel you have tried everything for
Acne but the mind controls your overall health and its a viscous circle if you get stressed.
I have suffered with depression, and I as I felt it creeping back in the last few weeks I have started to do cross crawl in the mornings, sun salutations and a yogic chant which has helped me so much, and I feel positive once more and my
Acne is not the end of the world anymore for me which I know will help it go!
One more thing i tried which also helped was reishi/lingzhi capsules which is a chinese medicine that my accupuncturist gave me, helps with hormones and immune system, i stopped taking them when i started flushing, so i am taking them again now, hooing they will help again :) Good luck and keep smiling xx
