Your story is very moving, I'm so sorry you have been affected the way you have, just rest assured you are not alone. Many women suffer with guilt and grief after an abortion. Most women suffer in silence, and alone. Please know you are not alone we are here to help and support each other.

Just as 1311 has voiced concern I too will voice some concern with you choosing to have a hysterectomy. If it isn't totally necessary because of health concerns, then the risks of the surgery are not worth it. Could it be an option to have your "significant other" have a vasectomy? There has to be a safer alternative for you.
