Re: What do you think of the Essene Gospels?

Hi Electravan,

I appreciate your perspective on this issue and agree with you wholeheartedly, I have a very mixed non-Chirstian religious background, and follow a way of life that to many appears quite religious, but similar to you, I am loyal to God, not to any particular organised religion, I suppose my intuition is my true religion (it is my way of listening to God), I try to follow it completely, but do not always succeed. A lot of my spiritual practice includes the rituals and forms of prayer and meditation of organised religions, as for me these rituals give me a stronger sense of connection.
Even though I am not Christian and have never read the Bible or anything, I feel that Christ was truly a great and enlightened prophet and have great reverence and love for him.
As you said the use of scripture out of context for pushing personal agendas is rife in organised religion everywhere, I have probably been guilty of it myself. It is one of the most important and saddest issues as far as I am concerned, at this time in human history where religion and politics seem to be clashing. I believe scripture is a most valuable tool, but the inner spiritual voice of every person is more valuable if it can be heard, in my opinion.
Best wishes to you and your family, your son is very blessed to have a mum as great as you!

Peace
