Re: Jesus Hmmm???

Yeah, Patricia- I also heard Herod had parasites. I think he died from complications from a lifelong infestation of parasites. His erratic mental condition also suggests he may have had tapeworm cysts in his brain. His diet was very rich with meats, and decadent sugary delicacies that he had sent in the palace. The poor were actually in better health in many ways- as compared to the wealthy. This is also true in the Middle Ages.

Folks, The local markets for the every day person are not like the markets today. The food was all healthy locally grown vegetables and locally caught fish. There were no manmade toxins and tampering of crops with biology. This is why Jesus didnt need to tell people not to eat fish, etc. Meat in those days wasnt infused with growth hormones or antibiotics also. Not to mention that Jesus didnt want his disciples to start making more Pharisee rules of "You must not eat this, or God will punish you", you will go to Hell if you break the rule and eat that, etc.)

Their ph balance in thier bodies was probably close to perfection, killing off any parasite larvea before it could hatch. Not the case with Herod and other royalty who ate things in excess, as well as all what their sweet tooth demanded. --- upsetting thier ph balances. It's our lusts that get us in trouble.

Also take note that when Jesus was cooking fish for his disciples, it was over a fire. He didnt eat raw fish.- nor did he serve raw fish to the disciples.

There was a reason that God also told the Jewish people not to eat pork. Pork -- especially in those days-- lived/lives on garbage, and was/is full of trichanosis worm.

The Jewish people were given Manna in the Wilderness-- which had to be eaten that day, was chock full of all the enzymes and protiens, and vitamins to give them health-- and even a little sweetness to give them the right amount of carb. energy for travelling in the desert.

They wanted to be like the other nations and get to eat meat , so they started complaining about the Manna. Therefore, God sent them fowl, which they all ate with pleasure, but then ended up getting sick hours later. There was probably alot of vomiting going on, as well as constipation. God permitted them the fowl, but they had to learn that even fowl can't be digested very easily by the human body. The other nations didn t realize that., but God was trying to set the Jewish people apart from the other nations-- even for better physical health.

Dont forget Shadrach, Mesach and Abenego -- the three Jewish captive boys in Babylon. They pleaded with the King to please permit them to continue eating thier Jewish diet-- which the Babylon King and that culture considered bland and not as healthy as their rich diet.

The Bablyon empire probably fed the young men in thier Courts all sorts of meats, pork, imported meats, etc.. the sort of things Herod ate.

The three Jewish guys were given permission to continue with their "bland boring" diets, yet to the surprise of many, they ended up more vibrant and toned-- more healthier with brighter eyes and less congestion than the other young men.

Sadly, our Western diet is just as rich and decadant as the diet Herod had at his disposal--- so we must be careful in our modern society.
