Re: Help! Questions about whether I should start a juice fast.
I don't see any reason that you couldn't fast right now. The only thing is medication. If you are on medication, that is not life supportive, it's best not to take meds (of any kind) while fasting. If you're on anti-depressants and think you can deal without them for a while, go for it.
If you HAVE to take meds, I wouldn't reccommend Juice Fasting, but a micro-bitoic or raw foods diet for 1 year. My grandmother cured herself of
Breast Cancer ( a tumor the size of a tennis ball) doing a microbiotic diet. I'd also see a homeopathic doctor and see if you really have to take meds...
Mood swings are not common during fasting, although some people experience them. Whether it's physical or pyschological, I'm sure depends on the person. Most people experience a "balancing" of the emotions/moods while fasting. This is one of the greatest fasting benefits.
Ultimately it's up to you and whether or not you're committed to do this. Health is a wonderful thing to strive for because our whole being is effected sometimes, by the condition of our body. :)
