Re: I'm Dying...

Hi, I'm sure so many can relate to your message! I too went through this cr*p once I hit my mid teens. I did not have "acne", but I had a bad case of pimples and blemishes which is when I withdrew from everyone and everything. I was miserable and felt like the ugliest thing alive. I know it is more common for guys becuase of the hormones and I know there are some things that can worsen the skin condition. I got this way once braces were placed on my teeth which started it all off. As I'm reactive to metal and also the mercury in the dental fillings can also do this too. Well, the only things that cleared up my skin was getting off wheat/gluten and sugar. I ate normal aside from this. I just ate fruit, vegetables, some meat, yoghurt and other cereal that did not contain wheat or gluten. When I first started this, the reaction was horrendous and I thought I just would not be able to stick it out. I was going through major detox and my body was ridding itself of so much garbage. You might find your condition might worsen for a few days or a week or two initially and then once your body has eliminated a lot of garbage inside of you and become cleaner, you might be surprised at what you will feel like and look like! I can't promise the same result because you sound like you might be going through this simply due to over production of sebum from all the hormones. Yeah it will settle down, but while you wait for it settle down naturally, do what you can diet wise, see what happens and keep your face clean. Wash your hands before you wash your face too (probably stating the obvious here). The cleaner healthier diet at least will give your body every chance possible to cope with the hormonal surges going on and the skin is just another organ that that reflects what is going on within your body. I know it feels like your world has ended and you feel like some freak, but PLEASE believe me, hang in there because you will come out the other side. I don't know how old you are, but I gather you are in your teens. Teenage years can be traumatic for many people, while others seem to just glide through them unmarked. Mine ended up being a nightmare and I was glad to see the back of them all due to the pimples and braces and being self conscious of it all and wanting to hide permanently. Yeah it does end, but at the time it's no help to hear that is it? You just want it gone! Give the diet a good go and don't give up.
