yes Jesus and Solomon both noted that the rain falls on the wicked and the just. it is clear to me that between the womb and the grave that there is often not anything close to justice in regards to how many good or bad things happen to good or bad people. that is why it is so presumptuous when pat says the things he says.

i believe suffering in this life all serves a purpose and we will probably not know the full reasons until the next life, but we have to trust that a God who is loving and cares about us has a purpose for everything. faith is hard sometimes, but worth the adventure.

i am sorry to hear about your family. child molestation is, in my opinion, the most damaging of all crimes. it tears families apart and the devestation can last for generations. i pray your family finds some healing in regards to this issue.
