I'm new to this... Found what has been said to be interesting... resonate w/it.
Had also heard via others (that channel) that CFS/FMS is spiritually related, and that symptoms are our body's way of adjusting to the higher energetic frequencies... that if we "go with the flow" more, it speeds up our body's adjustment... Energetic healing modalities, meditation, gentle movement (Qi Kung, Yoga, etc.) were recommended, as well as avoiding toxins, eating healthier diet, pure water, etc...
Acceptance of the symptoms has been hard for me, and daily I'm offered the opportunity to practice patience and openness. LOL. ;-)
Re MCS Pavlovian reactions - I agree - when I remember not to judge the smell, or the bearer of it, I have less of a reaction (e.g. cigarette smoke or perfumes).
Another tip I'd heard was to "allow it to go through you"... rather than absorbing it. This has helped me in terms of feeling less drained when around people expressing what I judge to be negative vibes (or expressing themselves negatively verbally, venting, etc.)
