Re: Does anyone post on the Atkin's support forum anymore??

Hey Kelly,

After the fast, I eat only raw fruits and vegetables, vegetable soups and broths, dates and yogurt, smidges of salad dressing and teas with honey, and juiced juice. Take it slow breaking your fast. After you have your first bowel movement after your fast technically you can add back in the protein. Oh yeah...I cannot stress enough the importance of planning your first meal before you break it. If you don't have a plan you can really blow it....you are just so darn hungry after :D You can also use http://www.fitday.com for tracking calories and carbs. It is super easy and free as well.

For me...I am a born meat eater, and I could never do without. I went back to Atkins at 20 g of carbs per day, but not induction. I still had some peanut butter and strawberries etc....just kept my totals to 20g. I was 135 (5'3") when I finished fasting and I am now 122 lbs. back on Atkins. I feel like the juice fast would be beneficial once a year for health reasons, but unless you stay with raw food eventually I think we all go back. I don't do induction any more since on induction they say you will only lose 10% of the weight you want to lose, so for you that might be 2 lbs.....it just seems useless. I would go back to induction carb alottment (20g) but eat OWL acceptable foods)

BTW my name on the other low carb forum is EMKAY 53. I have a journal and I post reponses fairly often on the Atkins section. However...it is such a wealth...there are forums for everything LC related. You will need to sign up to respond to the forums, but it's free...so...no big deal. If you do sign up let me know your forum name so I can find you there :)

Good Luck Kelly
Leanna
