I agree with your example of the restaurant and the service issue. But the difference is with the restaurant, you don't feel hopeless, you can make a change and fix the situation and you know it.
When it comes to politics, the voters feel it's hopeless and they just throw in the towel no matter what the "screwing" they are taking. Those crooks have ripped the hearts out and demoralized the people who pay attention. Science tell me they've studied it and it's all about money. I used to think that the 50% that don't vote were lazy. I now know that's not always the case anymore. Some of them pay alot of attention, but they are sickened by it and have given up all hope. I would ask them how they could put that label on me since I refused any campaign funds. They all told me that if they thought I would win, they would vote but they know if you are not rich or corrupt, that you don't stand a chance.
Rich and corrupt is why George is in the white house punishing the world
