wheelslip - listen, i just recently visited france, where they supposedly HATE americans. truth is, they were more hospitable than i even remember them to be, having also traveled extensively as a child and teenager. there are a few places, such as greece and turkey, and obviously the middle-east, where i wouldn't go right now. don't let the government scare you into believing the "freedom fries" hype and all that bullshit. i think they have it all backwards - it's the americans that are intolerant of the very countries who refused to buckle to the usual american propaganda, and when the shrub and his cohorts saw that they wouldn't be intimidated, what did they say? that they would be "punished". that's EXACTLY what powell said. it's just childish games, as usual. if you wanna' travel, travel.
