I just remembered something about "bluebloods". It seems that in the old days, the gentry used real silverware and were seldom sick. Also their blood had a bluish hue hence the term bluebloods.I'm not sure I buy this, however, as blood is such a dark red that I don't think the blue would show through.I could be wrong, though.
