I must have done something wrong.
Last night I tried to make energized water and absolutely nothing went according to plan.
I used 1/2
inch strips of aluminum foil for the "wires" I used a D battery which I tested for strength by seeing if it produced a bright light in a flashlight. I pressed a strip of foil against each side of the battery, with the positive pole pointing towards the center of the pot. I waited and waited, but the foil never got hot near the battery. Once of twice it got vaguely warm down near the place where I pressed the "wires", sandwiching the pot beneath them. First I tried a cheap enamaled pot. Then I tried a stainless steel pot.
Finally I gave up waiting for the wires to heat up as described in the forum here. I drank some of the water from the stainless steel pot. Something HAD definitely happened to the water, for it tasted more bitter than usual, hurt my mouth slightly, and caused a mild case of geopgraphic tongue. I'd expected t to crave the water as I was thristy when I started, and several people in the forum have described a desire to drink a lot of this water at first. Instead, after several sips, my sense of thirst entriely vanished, and I felt a distinct disinclination to drink this liquid. I threw it out.
What did I do wrong? Why didn't the wires heat all the way to the top? How does one know when the strips have warmed at all? Was it a mistake to use stainless steel? How can I press the strips together for just a second or two after they begin to warm if the wires don't really get warm to the touch?
I'd really like to try the version of Energized Water, but I have to do something different than I did before.
Thanks.
