Proof in Multimeter tests?

Further to testing, if you use plastic and your fingers hold the positive wire inside and negative on outside there is electricity flowing between the two fingers. Putting in two probes both positive and negative of the multimeter set on millivolts will show that the negative volts, why? I do not know. Also if I put in both positive and negative wire in the container for a couple of seconds and measure again, it will show a negative volts. Perhaps a fluke, I must try other DIGITAL multimeter set on millivolts to see this holds. However water must be drunk immediately.
So there is proof after all.......
