I just felt like I wanted something extra to build strength and flexibility on top of swimming and walking. I can't remember exactly how I heard about the exercises though- I think it was just through picking up 'The Secret Of The Fountain Of Youth' at a bookstore, and went from there.
I've definitely noticed a few things in the last 6 months. My shoulders and arms are much more toned and strong than they used to be, my stomach is firmer, and my spine more flexible. I wrote alot about my initial experiences on this board and so did a few others- might be worth having a look back.
