Re: Tongue Scrapers vs. Brushing Tongue with some Tooth Paste

Most people I meet with this problem discover they can eliminate the majority of their breath odor by brushing their tongue when they brush their teeth. Tongue scrapers are not equipped to deliver minty toothpaste into the grooves of the tongue like a toothbrush can.

The problem is that some people are much more sensitive to tongue brushing and they gag a lot easier than others. People who have never done it will nearly throw up. I did at first too. But it is possible to get used to brushing the tongue, and then you can brush further and further back. Eventually you can brush all the way back to the throat without gagging at all. When you do this, your mouth doesn't feel clean unless you've brushed your tongue.

I take people into the bathroom and demonstrate how to brush the tongue for people all the time. They are always amazed and they say that it would make them throw up. I can understand because it made me gag at first too, but I got used to it. "You can too!" I tell them, "And it will change your life!"

And it does, if they will just do it.
