I didn't go through all of the responses to this message...but what I can say that Asexuality is Sexual Aversion Disorder.
Either he has had some sort of negative sexual experience with sex or anything sexual that causes angst when the though of sex is brought up, or he is uncomfortable with it for some other reason.
It's all psychological, really...unless he has a physical disorder as well dealing with his sex life or lack therof. Perhaps erectile dysfunction brought on the aversion or even a disorder from a previous partner if he has ever had one such as frigidity.
That can be helped with simple sex therapy. It could take a long while for him to come around because it is like curing a phobia.
There are also the possibilities that he is not asexual but uncomfortable with having sex with you as of now. Maybe he is a hermaphrodite, transvestite, or has a testicular disorder, malfunction, or problem.
