Re: painful sex

I don't know how much you surf other forums on Curezone, but there is a lot of information here about chronic imbalances in PH, toxicity in the body, heavy metals, chronic infection, etc. that can throw all kinds of things out of whack. I have had persistent candida overgrowth, parasites, and probably staph for many years. I also suspect I have had a low grade, ongoing vaginal infection since my mid-teens, I'm in my late 30's, now. Intercourse is very often painful in exactly the way you describe, there is almost a raw feeling, and I notice it more when I feel like my vaginal PH is off, or I have a yeast or bacterial infection that might not be sufficient to show up on testing or give me major symptoms, but I know it's there. When I'm sticking carefully to a non-processed, natural diet low in carbohydrates, avoiding pharmaceuticals, drinking plenty of water, and I'm healthier overall, I don't experience the pain on intercourse that I do when things are not as balanced systemically. I also think it's possible that hormonal imbalance could be a contributor, and that's a really common thing for women these days. I don't use a diaphragm or spermicides anymore, since I felt that was adding to the problem. You might try just cleaning up your diet, doing some cleansing and trying to alkalize your body PH if you haven't already. Are you on birth control pills at all? I know that can contribute to candida, in particular. I was following the Body Ecology diet for awhile, which is a tough one.... but they did recommend a douche - about a tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar in one cup of distilled water, and it might have included tea tree oil - unless I read that in someone's posting here, I can't remember. That can help with infection and re-balancing the vaginal PH, but it's a temporary fix if you don't have the systemic issues in order. Good luck!
