Re: Atma and Prana...

Schlüggell, I Am now understanding what you meant metaphorically by the "door" I was not expecting something so "enlightening" I have read Castaneda, albeit some years ago as a teenager.

You said: Thus the great gurus of yore could actually stimulate a 'LSD response' simply by touch, 'enlightenment'

Yes I know what you mean! Last year I experienced something of extreme importance to me. I went to see Amma (Amritanadamayi) the hugging saint from whom I received darshan from. Her unconditional love that came was a source of tremendous joy for me as I had quite an experience from her touch.

As for the nadis I Am sure you know there are two kinds of nadis those than are conduits for prana and those of psychic energy either as electromagnetic current or as feeling, vibration frequencies etc...Sri Sivananda mentions 3 important nadis being the Ida, pingala and sushumna being connected to the limbic system activating these brings many actions into the picture. To make a long story short, I think that by the action of pranayama and the movement of the activated energy the sushumna became activated and well the alteration led to my experience.

Thank you so much and If I may inquire how did you become so knowledgeable about these matters.? The IN and OUT and all...Have you ever had a similar experience? or alteration of perception through simple breath control?

J.
