Re: Loss of Curve in Neck-Need Advice

All of the above posts are true. Stress does create the subluxations (misalignments) in the spine. For more information on corrective chiropractic go here... Most chiropractors who practice this technique and another like it (Pettibon) do not use the full traction devices as shown. Correction is achievable with the adjustments and exercises SPECIFIC to correcting curves. Sure some of the exercises mentioned (Matt Furey) may cause pains to go away by creating more stability, but none of them have been proven to restore a loss of a cervical curve.

I highly recommend that you return to your chiropractor and ask your questions. It seems to me that he/she may not have answered all of them. Depending on what phase of subluxation degeneration your husband is in, he may require ongoing care. The reason is not only because he has a loss of curvature in his neck, but because in order to express 100% of your God-given life expression, your nervous system MUST be free of interference. A loss of cervical curvature has been shown to stretch the spinal cord like a piece of taffy up to 5-7cm causing it to narrow in diameter. A reversal of the cervical curve causes significant pathological tension on the brainstem and associated nerve roots.
