I'm sorry you feel that you have been considered an ungodly wife sweetie. I don't think that's the case at all. I think people are trying to give you advice the best way they know how, and especially since you had asked originally for "Godly" advice. From reading the last few posts that is all I can see was given to you, but I understand tha when a woman is going through what you have, there is a tendency to feel prettty hopeless, and even the best advice can seem like disapproval.
I don't often like to talk about it much here, but I went through a situation very similiar to yours and had to endure all the 'well meaning' advice from church councelors. Had my faith not been firmly grounded in my Savior and not people, I would have strayed for sure, but God is good.
The temptation you had is totally normal, and women who feel lonely, misunderstood and frightened of an empty future often fall easy pray to such things. It really has NOTHING to do with lust, and everything to do with a desperate need for intimacy. The men who are aware of their situation and approach them, are also aware that they are easy prey and put on an extra special façade of caring, because they know how well it will be received. You were smart enough to know this and God rescued you from a mistake that would have been very costly for you. Don't dwell on this anymore, if you have asked God to forgive you, then it's over. Period.
Please don't believe the people here are disapproving of you, I know that's not true. The advice you've been given is good for anyone, and it wasn't meant to single you out or accuse you. I know this in my heart.
And yes hon, I've been there, and my God saw me through, I promise you...
