Activated charcoal works exactly the same way as bentonite, but it's said to be three or four times as effective as Bentonite or regular charcoal. It's basically just pure carbon, that they then blast with oxygen causing it to become "activated" by decreasing the particle size so that it has a larger surface area. There's also "super-activated charcoal", but I think you maybe need a prescription to get it.

While activated charcoal is a good colon cleanser, you should think of it more as a "toxin absorber", absorbing all the germs and their neurotoxins from the bile, along with other toxins. This is supposedly very beneficial for those with chronic illness.

I've been starting to feel a lot better after about two weeks of using it. I've been using about four teaspoons a day, which is equivalent to about 20 capsules. The reccomended dose for very ill people is up to twelve teaspoons a day, so I'm thinking about increasing my dose. Like bentonite, it will also bind with fat-soluble vitamins (such as A, D, and E), so it isn't a good idea to use for more than a month or two, and you should probably take a supplement of these vitamins too. I'd reccomend cod liver oil as the best natural source. I take one tablespoon a day.

I've heard good things about Colloidal Silver , however you need to take a very large amount (several ounces or more) on a daily basis to overcome a chronic infection. I've heard it works well along with peroxide. I don't use it myself because it's too expensive, you need to buy or make your own generator in order for it to be cost-effective. If you use a generator, it's very cheap. I wouldn't take it for long periods of time, because I've heard it can cause problems.
