Re: Once saved always saved???

The sad truth is, though, that even after people have accepted Jesus into their hearts, sometimes they do go astray. I've heard testimonies in different churches of that happening. And I am still a sinner, & will always be one, even though I have accepted Jesus into my heart, until the day that I die & leave this earth, simply because NOBODY except Jesus, (& God & the Holy Spirit) is perfect & without sin. It does not mean that just because we become saved that we will never sin again, or else we would be Jesus, & probably wouldn't be on this earth. But we are given the power of God through Jesus & the Holy Spirit to try to avoid temptations so that we do not fall into sin. But it's impossible for us humans to never sin again, since we are humans. But that is the beauty of God's forgiveness. When we do sin, we ask for forgiveness, so as you stated that we do not continually fall into the trap of committing the same sin over & over again. I became saved years ago, but I'm not perfect. Some people may not committ really big sins such as murder, etc, but it is going to happen. I'm not condoning it by any means, it's just the way humans are. I was just stating my belief that once saved always saved, & if I do veer off of God's path for me, say for 3 years, then somebody comes along & lights my candle, or gets me on the right path, then I am to ask God for forgiveness. I was just stating it is my belief that even though I was saved years ago, & I were to go down the wrong path for 2 years, that I don't believe that I will go to Hell since I already accepted Jesus into my heart. I don't think however that there is any harm in asking for salvation over & over again, if somebody has doubts in their mind that the first time they invited Jesus into their heart, 'didn't work'. I just don't know of any passages in the Bible where God takes his salvation back, after a person has already asked for it. I thought as stated in one of these emails, that a person will get treasures stored in heaven based on the fruits of their labor for God working through them. But it's true, we do only have finite understanding, if anybody can find a passage in the Bible that states that God takes back salvation, please post it. I believe God wants us to ask for forgiveness when we have sinned or gone astray, but as far as taking back salvation, I would be interested to see any Bible verses where it states that. This is a topic of discussion, & is not in any way intended to divide any peoples. I will pray for wisdom, as well as to keep an open mind about things as well.
