You can't accept Jesus and trully love him and then commit a serious sin. If you do sin afterwards, then your acceptance of Jesus was a lie.

As the Bible says in a few places you will only know what someone is like by the fruits of their labors.

If you labors are sin, then you still have to learn to love the way Jesus loves us. I don't think that Jesus would sin today if he was among us. That is what makes his love so special and that is his gift to the world - to show us how to live without sinning.

If you do sin, it is not the end of the world. There is plenty of time to correct that. However, do not use that to continue making mistakes.

Prey to Jesus to help you and give you strength if there are moments when you know better but want to do wrong.
