Re: predestination

We don't have control over our salvation, it is all about Jesus. Matthew 20:16, Romans 15:9, there are dozens of verses that speak on election, being chosen by God. I believe this is a matter of faith that we believe what God says to us in His Word. It is very helpful to do a study on the sovereignity of God..maybe begin with Romans Chapter 9, beginning at verse 6.
Last year I read through the whole New Testament and highlighted every verse having to do this this and there are so many. It was a good study.

Then there are the abide verses..check out John chapter 15 and many more.

As I said before there are mysteries of God that our finite minds just can't understand, Isiah 55: 8-9 and His ways are unsearchable, Romans 11:33. And it is very important to remember that God is right, just and true and perfect...if you want verses for these attributes let me know.

God is not the author of confusion. The Holy Spirit is our teacher and will show us the ways of God as we study His Word and pray. Most of us will not learn everything in short order it will take time in study and prayer. Pray for wisdom and for the Holy to teach you...Pray for yourself everyday that the Lord will Grow you and feed my much meat.

Another suggestion that has blessed me greatly is to do a study on God's attributes. Wow! amazing.
