My position on the Rapture

I agree that there will be a translation or transformation of God's people when He returns for us and we are caught up together with Him in the sky. When that will happen - no one can say for sure. There are currently four views...who knows - in time, maybe there will be more (but I would suggest fewer as we are ever so close to the Tribulation period, if not there already). These four views are:
Pre-Trib; Mid-Trib; Post-Trib and Pre-Wrath. I used to be in the Pre-Trib camp and just recently switched. This is definitely not an emotional topic for me...and while I feel led to share some insights, I definitely do not think that I have the answers to this difficult question and am not trying to persuade anyone to change their own personal view. My only concern is for those weak in their faith, that the Pre-Trib position might be a stumbling block for them should the events not pan out the way much of the Evangelical world has portrayed. Will this make them angry and cause them to turn from God? Remember the story of the seed falling on poor or rocky ground. What happens if their roots are not established and this potentially erroneous teaching causes them to doubt God and lose faith? I see this teaching as a "sacred cow" that many absolutely refuse to see any other way - even members of my own family. My own personal position is that the Lord has us here to be His witnesses. How can that happen if we are not here to witness? And what about our Jewish brothers and sisters...yes, friends, they are family!! How would you feel if your family happily bailed on you to go through something as terrible as the tribulation period? I do not want to go through the Tribulation period - nor do I want my loved ones to either, but I am preparing to, and posted an exhortation some time back for those who have ears to ear to begin to prepare themselves. The times ahead are going to be difficult enough - what happens if you were expecting to be "beamed up" and out of this and it doesn't happen? Will you be prepared?
