Re: The Rapture
yes Luke does talk about the end time, but I see this more of a warning, to the beleivers, rather than a rapture event.
understand that this is me, the way i see it, and not the Gospel. i don't pretend to be enlightened. i study in common sense terms,i don't dissect God's word, i try to take it in its most literal form, and place it as a hole for thought, meditation, and prayer. this aside,
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife. (this verse is my reference to a warning.)
Luk 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
Luk 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Luk 17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
i don,t see any rapture in this at all. i see people being taken, but not raptured, taken but not, caught up with Jesus,
And they answared and said unto Him, Where,Lord? They wern't referring to the ones left , they knew, where they were left, in the bed,in the fields at the gringing wheels.
where? were the ones, that were taken. Jesus said to them Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
ok, i think that Jesus is telling his follewers that, these people taken in the body, by whomever, solders, police, mobs, religons, ect. to be killed maybe beheaded.
Whereever the body is,thither(there) the eagles will gather together, ( eagles are carnivorous and will eat flesh).
again i see this as a warning, to let beleivers be prepaired for the trials and times that lay ahead.
again this is not to say that anyone is wrong in their understanding, this is just mine.and to see what you think or what God has revealed to you.
no one person, has all the Truth. It is reveald in bits and peaces by all.
