Re: Question!!

I loved the Creator very much since childhood, but I never had any personally identifiable information (the bible) about Him until I was 32. I wanted to know more about Him so that I could live with Him forever, but because I truly had love in my heart, I also loved my fellow human being and my fondest wish was that the Creator would soon send someone to rescue (purify) the people from a misery-filled, ill fated existence so that they could do the same. When I became convinced of His truth (the bible,2 Timothy 2:15, John 14:6), I was glad to recieve salvation, but was even more glad that He had fulfilled my fondest wish. After a few days, my friend noticed how I covet 'MY' Lord and told me that we have to share Him. I had always felt that it was a tragic shame that people were in the habit of saying "Remember the Bismark" and "Remember Pearl Harbor", but not 'Remember the Creator', but my childish instinct caused the conflict of coveting Him as 'MY' father. This is how we tend to read scripture (subjectively), after all, our father in heaven is the father of approximately 6.5 BILLION people, yet He wants us to have a PERSONAL relationship with Him, you see our dilemma, but it's also an illustration of our misunderstanding of His dispensational love for us. Just as 'justice' is "no respecter of persons", neither can the Lord be in order to be fair and allow all 6.5 billion people to be responsible (and accountable) for their own actions (resulting in our own ability to be moral). God doesn't cause evil, He does ALLOW it, otherwise we wouldn't have the ABILITY to be moral and recieve His reward of eternal life.

Satan is the MASTER of evil, and his demons are the official soldiers in his army, but the 'flesh' and the world system (the world, the flesh, and the devil) almost undoubtedly seems to be the cause of most of the evil on this earth. All of us have the choice of cooperating with satan and his demons to cause evil, that is what makes our choice of goodness and morality meaningful. It is the refusal of an OPPOSITE that makes an ABSOLUTE significant. The Lord did not come to BRING peace (so that everyone could continue to do whatever they want regardless of it's morality), but to bring (make) a clear division (Matthew 10:34) between right and wrong (so that there could be such a thing as morality). The Lord's word is all encompassing and applies to all human understanding, it should not be confined to the popular interpretation found in commentaries.

It is the creation of goodness as an 'abolute' that necessitates the allowance of the opposite (evil). Absolutes allow the existence of 'morality'. With your friends' experience as an attorney, it should not be difficult for them to understand this principle of absolutes being necessary for the creation and maintenance of 'justice', but we must also always remember that the reason that the Lord found it necessary to be so gracious to us by sending His Son was that the world (flesh) refuses to maintain the 'absolute' of goodness.

This understanding may not offer any consolation, learning to count our blessings (experienced attorney) is.
