Re: Wouldn't you call the MC anti-Atkins?

I totally agree with you about the Atkins diet. I have never done it and never believed it was good for you. I was actually doing some research on it this morning to post some links to the dangers of it. But then I wasn't sure if I should bring it up because I don't have that much knowledge on the subject. Personally, I am going to stick to lots of fruits and vegetables. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and then started eating seafood about 4 years ago. I will probably cut out the seafood after this. I thought about doing a raw foods diet too. I also thought "to each his own" but here is one more bit of info. In the book under Menu Suggestions, it states, "On other occasions try special dishes such as vegetable stew, various types of brown rice dishes (curried rice, Spanish rice, chop suey and rice), chili beans (made with lima beans or red beans), or any recipe using lentils or garbanzos - BUT NO MEAT, OF COURSE". I'm sure that everyone is not going to be a vegetarian after doing the MC, but I would also agree that the Atkins diet is the opposite of what Burroughs recommends. Hope you are doing well on your cleanse and feeling great!
