Re: Just had a severe attack

I would like to let you know that I had my gallbladder out on Dec. 30, 2004. I am not experiencing chronic diarrhea or really any other symptom. I did had diarrhea the first week out, because my body was re-adjusting. I was tired the first month, but I am all better now. Now granted, I don't know how I will feel years for now. My dad had his out in the 80's and is fine. I can eat anything I want if I wanted to. I ate pizza the next night, but I wouldn't suggest that.

I also went to this website before my surgery and became scared to go through with the surgery. Some people here are one sided. I just don't think people should give advice to not have surgery, unless they themselves have had the surgery. Doctors are not butchers..someday their life may depend on a doctor. What then?

I believe you should do what is right for you. If you talk to people who have had the surgery, you can find out what it is really like. Everyone is different. One person may have had a bad experience and the next person might have had a great experience. It depends on the individual.
