Re: ideal diet and post liver flush symptoms
Hi Worthers! :)
After any kind of glandular fever and leaky gut (gut permeability) recovery is slow, unfortunately. An enema bucket is one of the best ways to deal with it, as we can't always avoid what sets off the allergic/inflammation cycle. Frequent enemas with liquid chlorophyll or aloe vera is so very soothing and healing to the mucosa lining, it helps it heal faster much the same way that keeping a cut clean and oxygenated helps it heal faster.
Also, consider researching into H202 therapy. That's where you use food-grade hydrogen peroxide, dilute it carefully, and drink it or use in enema. Very powerful and fantastic for energy!
To improve bile flow (altho, your color has more to do with transit time and gut flora really, but you still need to help your liver) the cheapest solution is to take Planetary Formula's Bupleurum Liver Cleanse, probably two bottles worth at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Also be sure to get good fats (EFA oils like flax, evening primrose, borage, hemp, coconut) into your diet.
I don't like HCL/Betaine either, dosing it correctly is difficult. Use lemon juice, heating spices - you need lots, being vata - spicy tea, and apple cider vinegar instead.
Pancreatic enzymes are necessary. You won't always see or feel a result, but they do help! Espcially since your foods should all be cooked for now.
baking soda = bicarbonate
wait 3-4 weeks before next liver flush, and be sure to do a salt water flush or enema afterwards. If you can't wash your colon clean after the flush, best not to do a major flush, not while you have leaky gut. Stick to herbs and diet (carrot salad) to cleanse liver instead.
I'll take a shot at diet recommendations, but I don't know if you like to cook, have full access to a kitchen or have a juicer?
