Ok, upon looking at my situation, I change my mind: I do think I've got a mild case of candida. When I had to use strong Antibiotics a couple months ago, I had an alcohol relapse then, and it may very well be that the Antibiotics killed off some of the intestinal bacteria, allowing for a resurgence in candida. Now it makes better sense.

Thanks for posting this connection between alcohol abuse and candida on this forum, Fiona. This might be the one big breakthrough that all desperate alcoholics are looking for.

As a side thought, i can't help but wonder if kudzu has anti-candida properties, assuming that the root cause of alcoholism is an overgrowth of the candida bug. Supposedly the Chinese have been using the herb to suppress alcoholism for a couple thousand years.
