Re: Have you noticed how people are naturally repulsed..
Whole Foods Market sells meat that is humanely treated, and that's where I buy my meat from. I eat mostly chicken and fish.
I think meat-eaters, myself included, would kill the animals ourselves if we had to. We did i on farms in the 1700's and 1800's in the South, and elsewhere in the U.S. It is a natural phenomena for the predator/prey dynamic. Wolves kill sheep, lions kill sheep, alligators kill turtles, etc. My mom relayed to me a story of when she was very young, about six I think, having seen her uncle snap a chickens neck to eat it, she did it, or at least tried. Her uncle and parents were mad at her, but it goes to show out of nature and nurture the average human would have no problem killing his/her food. Come to think of it, in the caveman days, groups of men would go out hunting for buffalo, wildebeasts and such, to feed themselves and their families.
Meat-eating is not the healthiest of diets for us humans, I'll admit. As soon as I get a good combination of protein, carbs, etc. without including meat*except for the occastional whitefish and young hen* I will turn completely, exclusively vegan.
Healthy Eating!!!
