Survived my weekend of decadence! But...

Hi Shelley(and all). Thanks for everyone's advice last week on what to 'drink' when one has a B-A-D weekend planned. I had every good intention of sticking to just the red wine(and water) and then, well, sponteneity came calling and we had champagne for my friends b'day, and then the girls ordered me a cocktail whilst I was in the rest room!!! As they say,the rest was history! The good news is that the second night I didn't(couldn't!) drink after Friday nights indulgence. By Sunday I was then feeling pretty good infact.But....

Right now, on Friday I have been feeling absolutely dreadful- since Monday. The one difference is that I did start on Julia Chang's Curcuma on Sunday night then the Chinese bitters the next morning and I have been taking both, day and night as suggested all week. I hear that these can make you feel awful as you are detoxing. I have felt extra tired, a bit of nausea, pain in my left shoulder(haven't even worked out for a week),other aches here and there, stinging eyes. Does this all sound like 'just' detox to you?
I feel like things are 3 steps forward with my health and two backwards right now. The weekend just past is a one off. On the whole I feel that I have been working very hard. I modified my diet(no caffeine, barely any sugar, lots of veg and healthy proteins +grains. Having your shake for b'fast often.) added probiotics, digestive enzymes, lecithin, more EFAs, P+B shakes x3 per day, lymph management. All this I was doing to gear up for my first flush. Then a few weekes ago I started seeing the chiro/TBM holistic doc who told me to stop the P+B's(for no good reason as it turns out)and put me on that high protein diet to get my sugars balanced. Anyway, I haven't seen her for two weeks. I was getting frustrated(and bankrupt) with being charged $90 for a session that she barely did anything in, and would then tell me that "she had to respect my body telling her it didn't want anymore work today!" Then I would give her another $90 the next day only to be told the same thing!

I have now, after this week of feeling so yuk, been getting that weak, self-questioning feeling of "should I see a regular doc?"-but I'm sure of what they will say-something like "here you go, here's some cortisol, your thyroid is low, you'll be fine now". I'm CONVINCED that this is all my liver from all that I have read- and from lingering here. The holistic doc did tell me that I had adrenal fatigue and that it had blocked my thyroid(hence me having all of the thyroid symptoms). You did mention and so does Julia Chang that it all comes back to the liver.

I guess my grand question is here, given that now that I am back on track to flush, say one more week of clearing my liver with the bitters and curcuma(also taking ashwanganda, gotu kola and Herb pharm 'Adrenal support tonic', includes licorice + eleuthero) continuing with 3 x P+B's and then a week or so of Gold coin grass, do you think several Liver Flushes will help my adrenal/thyroid issues OR should I consider medication for now until flushes have done their bit. I don't mean to make you feel like I am asking you to make the decision, I guess I am asking "what would you do if you were me?" I also welcome anyone elses feedback eps. if you have had adrenal/thyroid issues.

Thanks,
Danielle X
