No, it's not cortisone injections, it's a very low dose of compounded cortisone. They started me on 2.5 mg one in morning and one at noon for one month with the hopes that that would heal my adrenals and then they dropped me to .25mg one in morning and one at noon but I could feel the fatigue coming back so they had me bump up to .50 mg in morning and .25 mg at noon and am doing better.
Anne is correct about the adrenals. I have felt mine were shot for a couple of years but nobody would help me. Just that small amount of support is allowing me to function normally again for the first time in 2 years, the thyroid meds helped quite a bit but I could tell something was still not right and I know now it was the need for adrenal support.
