Re: Blood types
Hi Boronia,
Check out this link concerning candida and blood type O (bottom of page)

According to the article (and other sources I have read), blood type As (like you) have more resistance to infection such as candida, particularly systemic cases. A simple google search provides tons of info on all this.
Blood type Os are also more susceptible to have some sort of gluten intolerance which seems to be quite common in people with candida as well.
As for probiotics, if you think that the average human intestine has 100 trillion lactic acid bacteria lining its' walls, to make any dent at all you must be taking a high quality probiotic. If you live in the US, you shouldn't have a problem finding Udo's Choice in your health food store; it's a pretty popular brand. Also, I have found and read that despite what many people will have you believe, taking probiotics RIGHT AFTER a meal is useless. Food is hanging around in your stomach being digested. The probiotics will just die in the stomach acid. The best time to take probiotics is first thing when you wake up - then again right before bed. Not eating 3 hours before bed is necessary for this technique to be successful. Also, restraining from eating 3 hours before bed will reduce night sweats and vivid or disturbing dreams.
Good luck!
