Re: Puffy face & Candida???
>When you say "stay on the diet for 6 months" do you mean this very strict phase of the diet or are most people adding some healthy grains or other foods by that time. Eating this way, athough it does make me feel so much better, has gotten quite expensive and I also am not able to gain weight on this diet. Does anyone have any advice for gaining weight?
No I meant stay on for at least 3 months strictly then maybe you could experiment with different foods eg grains if they're a problem for you now. It really depends, everyone is different so just listen to your body and it will tell you what it likes. To gain weight try eating more fats eg avocado, nuts, coconut oil etc. and add digestive enzymes, including lipase, for fat digestion.
Also l-glutamine helps nutrient absorption which may also help with weight problems.
Some people have found
Liver Flushing helpful to either gain or lose weight as they help to normalise the metabolism.
To be honest I personally don't think weight is that important unless you're really underweight of course. As long as you have energy and feel ok and have sufficient muscle power I wouldn't worry too much about it. You could check out
http://www.askshelley.com, Shelley has great nutritional advice and has a section on bodybuilding etc.
Actually that link doesn't work. Click on "The Best of Shelley" at the top of this page.
