Agreed 100%. It is insane to me that even in 2005 religion is still having such an influence on US government. The original founders of the US meant separation of church and state,no matter how the neoreligicons try to spin history....

1791 1st Amendment, Constitution

1796 Treaty of Tripoli:
"As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion;..."

1954: "Under God" is added to the Pledge of Allegiance
1956: "IN GOD WE TRUST" becomes national motto
1957: "IN GOD WE TRUST" is added to all us currency
Why? to FIGHT Soviet/communist values of ATHEISM
in other words.... to ESTABLISH THEISM
