Re: 40 Days!

Hey Moon,
I recently finished a 40 dayer a few weeks back and all I can tell you that it was prolly the coolest thing I've ever done. The mental aspects of it were like nothing I've ever experienced. I originally planed to go 2 weeks and I was feeling so good physically and mentally that I kept going and on the 40th day I did a liver flush and that was extra neato cool too.

It was sucha great mental or spiritual place to be if your leaning are such, that I just didn't want it to end. I thought I'd go for 60 days. Well getting towards the last week near 40 days seemed as if I had reached a plateau and the fast was just becoming routine. By that time my tongue was a nice clean healthy pink which meant that I was pretty durn clean inside. I then decided to do a liver flush and I tell ya that was a real eye opener to see the garbage that came out Yeow! I am currently doing a parasite cleanse before I do my next liver flush.

I didn't loose as much weight as expected/wanted but that is perfectly OK with me cause the health, energy, attitude and on and on is just the best ever. I am a new person. Now I have completely changed my diet and I go to the gym every day. It's amazing to see/feel the results I'm getting over a 3 week period at the gym. Also after about the first week of the fast I started exercising every afternoon by riding my bike for 5 miles. Everyday I would push a little harder and do it faster then I started adding more miles.

Loosing the weight is good but I tell ya if you really wanna stay on the high that the fast gives you then if you don't have any physical problems or illneses to prevent you by all means add a workout routine after you're done with the fast. I just got back from the gym and I wish I could pass on in words how amazingly good I feel. I don't have any major physical impairments or illnesess so my workouts are pretty intense but if for some reason you can't do intense workouts then anything that you are able to do that'll get your heart rate going will do.

To be honest I hear all these great results people are getting yada yada and I think thats great/super that they've taken the "first step" but I don't think enough is said or discused about what people are doing to keep from falling back to their "old ways" that got them to their illneses in the first place. I have no doubt in my mind that lack of regular exercise is also a major contributor to all the maladies that folks on these forums are ailing from. I "was" one of them........

Next week I signed on to take a whitewater rescue course. I'm really looking forward to that and to eat up some of them big bad rapids on my canoe YeeeHaaw!! ;+D.

So Moon don't focus too much on the weight thing. I'm not saying that you won't loose as much as you want either.
Everyone is different and your body will do what it needs to do the most first. If you don't loose as much as you wanted or thought, you'll be feeling so good and have so much energy after the fast that you'll look forward to "burning" the extra weight off.

Good Luck!!
